President's Message
Delta Sigma Theta Detroit Foundation, Inc., founded in 1999, remain committed to engaging in public service programs which promote intergenerational activities for our community by organizing educational, historical and cultural programs that will improve the quality of life for future generations.
We are especially pleased with our role in providing mentoring services for middle and high school students, sponsoring our annual golf outing and each year a charitable organization whose mission is compatible with ours is selected to receive the net proceeds and supporting various community groups with similar mission to provide scholarship funds.
In January 2006, we started on a journey to fulfill another of our commitment [to raise funds to purchase and maintain property and facilities] in which to carry out the objectives and programs stated in our mission. We continued that journey on April 22, 2009 by purchasing property at 24760 W. Seven Mile. This property is currently under renovation and we look forward to a late fall move in date.
Finally, our directors, together with our members, all serve as volunteers. I want to thank them and the many organizations that we have partner with to improve the quality of life in our community.
